Fill PDF - FAQs

Are my PDF files uploaded?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your PDF file is never sent to any server. It stays on your device throughout.

Can I fill out a PDF form with this tool?

Yes, for most common cases. You can add text, checkmarks, and a signature to any page. This tool adds visual overlays and does not detect or fill interactive AcroForm fields.

Can I add a signature to a PDF?

Yes. You can draw a signature directly in the tool and place it on the page as an overlay. You can move and resize it to fit your document.

Does this create a legally binding e-signature?

No. This tool places a visible signature drawing or image onto a PDF. It does not provide identity verification, timestamping, audit trails, or legal e-signature compliance features.

Why does my PDF not open or save correctly?

Some PDFs may not load correctly if they are password-protected, use unsupported encryption, or rely on non-standard encoding. The file may include features not supported by browser-based PDF libraries.

About these formats

What is a PNG (Portable Network Graphics) file? .png

PNG is a lossless image format that supports transparency (alpha). It preserves crisp edges and exact pixels, making it ideal for UI graphics, logos, and screenshots.

Best for: graphics with text, sharp lines, transparency. Trade‑off: larger than JPEG/WebP for photos.

MIME: image/png

What is a JPG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) file? .jpg,.jpeg

JPEG is a lossy format optimized for photographs. It achieves small file sizes by discarding fine detail that is hard to perceive.

  • Best for: photos.
  • Limitations: no transparency; re‑saving repeatedly can introduce artifacts.

MIME: image/jpeg

What is a WebP (Web Picture) file? .webp

WebP is a modern image format offering both lossy and lossless compression, usually producing smaller files than JPEG and PNG at similar quality.

Best for: the web when you want smaller images. Notes: older tools may lack WebP editing/export support.

MIME: image/webp
